NATIONAL HEROES’S DAY CELEBRATION
Theme: “Isang Diwa, Isang Lahi, Isang Bayanihan”
25 August 2025 | Cantilan Town Plaza – Mayor Rodrigo L. Eleazar, accompanied by Vice Mayor Liberty G. Cale and members of the Sangguniang Bayan, spearheaded today’s commemoration of National Heroes’ Day at the Town Plaza.
Employees and staff from local and national offices, led by their respective heads also joined the celebration. Uniformed personnel from the PNP, BFP, and BJMP were also present, along with students and faculty members from various private and public schools and the general public.
Meanwhile, among the highlights of the celebration was the wreath-laying ceremony at the monuments of Dr. Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, and the World War II memorial led by Mayor Digoy.
In his speech, Mayor Digoy called on everyone to reflect not only on the contributions of our national heroes but also on those of our modern-day heroes, including police officers, soldiers, first responders during disasters and emergencies, medical and allied health workers, government employees or civil servants, and ordinary Filipinos who came to our aid during calamities and pandemic outbreaks.
He continued to urge everyone to answer the call of duty, become responsible citizens, and do what they can for our community and our country.
