27 January 2025 | LGU Cantilan – Municipal Planning and Development Office

A total of 10 Senior High School students from Cantilan National High School successfully completed their Work Immersion at the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) – LGU Cantilan.

Throughout their immersion, the students gained hands-on experience in issuing Zoning Certificates and Locational Clearances, utilizing survey tools for field deployment, and working with geospatial visualization tools such as Google Earth Pro. They also performed data encoding tasks in Microsoft Excel and assisted in day-to-day office transactions under the supervision of the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC).

This hands-on experience gave the students a glimpse into how local government works, from planning and zoning to daily administrative tasks. It allowed them to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to real-world situations, helping them build practical skills that will be useful in their future careers.
