CONGRATULATIONS to the municipality of Cantilan for bagging the Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) CY 2024 award and being recognized for participating in the Gawad Galing Pangkapayapaan CY 2025.
The awarding ceremony was held during the 2025 Caraga Regional Excellence Awards (CREA), today, November 7, 2025, at Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City.
Mayor Rodrigo L. Eleazar together with Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO), Engr. Mark Anthony C. Obani received the awards.
The Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) award (PASSER) is a program “that assesses and recognizes local government units (LGUs) for their transparency and accountability in handling public funds. The assessment checks for an unimproved or qualified audit opinion from the Commission on Audit (COA) and full compliance with the Full Disclosure Policy (FDP).”
While the Gawad Galing Pangkapayapaan CY 2025, is a recognition given to LGUs for its outstanding efforts in promoting peace and development through the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP).
It also recognizes LGUs for their efficient and innovative implementation of the RCSP, which addressed community issues and strengthened government services.
