INSIGHTS UNVEILED | 2024 CBMS Data Turnover Ceremony
October 21, 2025 – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Cantilan, successfully conducted the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Data Turnover Ceremony at the Barangay Linintian Multi-Purpose Hall, Cantilan, Surigao del Sur.
The ceremony was graced by messages from Usec. Claire Dennis S. Mapa, PhD (National Statistician and Civil Registrar General), Frederick C. Blasco (Project Evaluation Officer III, PPDO–Surigao del Sur), Engr. Mark Anthony C. Obani (MLGOO) and Engr. Elizalde S. Ramos, Jr. (DICT Provincial Officer).
PSA Surigao del Sur Chief Statistical Specialist Ruel L. Dres presented the highlights of the 2024 CBMS results and led the formal turnover to the local government of Cantilan. The CBMS data was officially received by Hon. Rodrigo L. Eleazar (Municipal Mayor), together with Engr. Cheryl C. Pueblas, EnP (Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator), members of the Sangguniang Bayan, department heads and employees, and partner agencies.
In his acceptance message, Mayor Eleazar expressed gratitude to PSA and all stakeholders for their collaborative efforts in generating quality data that will guide the municipality in crafting evidence-based and inclusive development programs. Meanwhile, Engr. Pueblas highlighted the LGU’s plans and strategies to ensure the proper utilization and security of CBMS data in local planning and policy formulation.
This event reflects the municipality’s steadfast commitment to data-driven governance and the continuous pursuit of a more resilient and progressive Cantilan!
