The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Cantilan, Surigao del Sur, under the leadership of Mayor Philip Arreza Pichay, is currently conducting the Incident Command System (ICS) Executive Course on July 17–18, 2025 at Go Hotels, Robinsons, Butuan City.

 

The two-day training brings together Sangguniang Bayan Members, Barangay Captains led by Hon. Jimbo A. Luarez, Municipal Department Heads, and key representatives from partner agencies. The ICS Executive Course aims to strengthen the leadership, coordination, and decision-making skills of local officials in managing disasters and emergency situations.

 

This initiative is spearheaded by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO-Cantilan), headed by Engr. Ale Boy U. Duero, as part of Cantilan’s proactive efforts to enhance disaster resilience and ensure the safety and welfare of its communities.
