The Local Government Unit of Cantilan successfully conducted a two-day Gender and Development (GAD) Plan and Budget (GPB) Formulation Workshop for FY 2026 on April 3–4, 2025, held at Amontay Beach Resort, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte.

The activity was led by Mayor Philip Arreza Pichay, MLGOO Mark Anthony Obani and GAD Focal Person Kenneth B. Yparraguirre, with the active participation of department heads, local office representatives, and key stakeholders.

Special thanks to Ms. Ma. Lourdes C. Martinez, DILG Outcome Manager, and Ms. Elesia D. Salazar, Provincial GAD Focal and GPB Review Resource Person, for sharing their expertise and guidance throughout the workshop.

The event underscored the LGU’s commitment to gender-responsive governance and inclusive local development, ensuring that the 2026 GAD Plan aligns with national mandates and local priorities.
